If you would like to nominate for one of the awards, or would like to nominate your organisation, a team member or work team in your organisation, we encourage you to submit an application by following the steps below:
1. Complete the online application form including the request for information. If submitting a written nomination, a 500-word limit applies. Alternatively, a brief video entry (2 min limit) can be submitted in place of a written nomination.
2. Attach any supporting documentation, eg: a short video.
3. Please note, nominations for a Chemistry Australia Award must be submitted by COB Friday 21 March 2025.
Individuals and organisations may enter on their own behalf or be nominated by their industry peers. Each nomination must be accompanied by a typed summary (of no more than 500 words) outlining why the nomination is being put forward. Supporting materials in the form of a short nomination video, or video outlining your nominated project (2 mins max), are welcomed. Alternatively, supporting materials such as publications, diagrams or photographs – with a focus on quality over quantity – may also be submitted.
Nominations are open to all Chemistry Australia members.
Nominations will be reviewed by a committee made up of Chemistry Australia, the Board and sponsors. The judges’ decision will be final.
Finalists and category winners will be announced at the awards dinner. All finalists will be contacted and are expected to make every effort to attend the awards announcement.
Yes, you can nominate in as many categories as you wish, as long as your nomination meets the specific judging criteria. Only one nomination is permitted for each category.
Nominations close COB Friday 21 March.
Entries in each category will be judged by independent panels appointed by Chemistry Australia. The panels will be drawn from Chemistry Australia, the Board and sponsors.
Finalists in each category will be contacted and are requested to attend the awards dinner. All finalists for each category will be announced at the ceremony along with the category winners.

The judges’ decision will be final. No correspondence will be entered into by any member of the judging panel.
